The progressive “climate of hate:” An illustrated primer, 2000-2010
By Michelle Malkin • January 10, 2011 03:19 AM

The Tucson massacre ghouls who are now trying to criminalize conservatism have forced our hand.

They need to be reminded. You need to be reminded.

And don’t let the media whitewash the sins of the hypocritical Left in their naked attempt to suppress the law-abiding, constitutionally-protected, peaceful, vigorous political speech of the Right.

The progressive climate of hate: A comprehensive illustrated primer in 8 parts:

I. PALIN HATE
II. BUSH HATE
III. MISC. TEA PARTY/GOP/ANTI-TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE HATE
IV. ANTI-CONSERVATIVE FEMALE HATE
V. LEFT-WING MOB HATE — campus, anti-war radicals, ACORN, eco-extremists, & unions
VI. OPEN-BORDERS HATE
VII. ANTI-MILITARY HATE
VIII. HATE: CRIMES — the ever-growing Unhinged Mugshot Collection

Two warnings:

1.) It should not come as a surprise, but the amount of vileness collected in this blog post is jaw-dropping, even if you think you’re prepared;

2.) This has many graphics, pictures and embedded videos, so it probably is very unfriendly to dial-up.

As Michelle Malkin says, we do need to be reminded, but have a good supply of barf bags at hand.

But to me; Obama has done far more than any president, from the beginning, to foster a hate campaign against conservatives, and widened race relations thoroughly setting back the gains made in the last 40 years. This is the goal of the liberal socialists to ‘divide and conquer’
Fox News NEEDS to be more diligent in it’s response, to allegations of conservative extremist rhetoric, and the call to mute the discourse.

#3

How come the left doesn’t have to dial down its rhetoric?

#4

Because they are the ones in power I’m guessing…

I hope the pendulum swings high on the return.

#5

The left wing has the most media outlets; ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, PBS, New York Times, LA Times, Washington Post, Hufpo, …= the left wing echo chamber.

When they control most of the media they control propaganda.

Some on this board believe these outlets…:howler:

.

#6

That is correct, the ‘left’ does control the majority of the media, both oral and written. They were the FIRST TO exploit the tragedy, ie: Never let a disaster go unused. Now it seems the far left HAS dialed down SOME of their rhetoric in light of the latest information. Peter King is a typical New York politician, pragmatic at his roots.
No mistake, this IS a tragedy, I am so sorry for the families, [ by the way–anybody guess about any of the others who were killed or injured?] Not much if any said about them except for the little girl. But as much a tragedy is the state of mental health issues based on the young man’s condition. How does one deem that a mentally ill person is a ‘danger’ to society? And when such an assertion is made what becomes of this person and who pays for whatever treatment may be called for. Mental health is a disease same as measles or cancer, but wherein is the cure? Does society make a blanket sweep of all who exhibit mental instability just to get them off the streets? [which is where some of this is leading]

On that particular count, I heard something of interest from the father of the girl (on the radio). He said that there would always be the risk of such tragedies in a free society, and he felt that it was worth the risk. It took a man to say that.

#8

I’m curious as to some examples of left hate rhetoric. I’m not sayiong it doesn’t exist. I’m just curious.

I haven’t heard any tree hugging hippies calling for an armed revolution, or malitia’s to take down the government.

The hate during the Bush years was pretty obvious, then again a shoe doesn’t hurt quite as bad as a bullet.

Seriously?

#10

I said the bush hate was obvious!!!

Current threats and hate speech please.

#11

I just thought I’d throw this in here for a little “evidence”.

Hmm. I guess it’s not hate speech or threats if you consider the victims beneath you.

#12

I don’t see why you can’t just search for it, as it’s everywhere on sites like Daily Kos about how conservatives are evil. Nevertheless, here’s a recent one:

What you’ll find is that the left is perfectly fine when broadbrushing the Right when it suits their agenda.
They don’t mind using hate speech, bombast, or outright lies and fabrications. No, it’s perfectly fine when THEY do it.

#14

The first article was pretty tame. I didn’t read anything about threatening violence.

The second one is a little better, but only if we consider Megan Fox on equal footing as Palin
in terms of public political voice.

I see a lot of insults, but a lack of violent calls for action.

#15

It’s NOT OK when they do it.

#17

I completely believe what he posted was factual.

I don’t know what oberbite is.

Did I post something from media matters? I highly doubt it. I wouldn’t knowingly use a source that was partisan.

#18

Why do we need to call aggressive rhetoric “hate speech”? I can hate anyone I want, just fine. I can hate them verbally, without uttering one threatening word. I never threatened Jazzhead, but my disdain and dislike for him was painfully apparent.
We need to get over the fact that everyone won’t like everyone. You cannot make people like each other, no matter what rhetoric we try. I know they are concerned with ID on a potentially violent situation, but the facts remain, you cannot buy love… and cannot restrict hate.

#19

bovine excrement.

Look no further than the President.

OBAMA SEPTEMBER 17, 2008: I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to 'em whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face.

OBAMA MARCH 18, 2009: I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry. I’m angry! What I want us to do, though, is channel our anger that constructive way.

OBAMA: If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying we’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us, if they don’t see that kind of up surge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder, and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2nd.

Or, this guy… One of his mentors…

Agreed 100%.

It’s a stupid, liberal concoction. Just like hate crimes…

Well, no bleep… You killed the guy because you hated him… Whodathunkit?
I don’t know how that ever came about…
:howler:
