To Sexist AP, HuffPo Inanely Bashing Palin Is More Important Than Helping Haiti

Big Journalism

Every time I think that the “Press” can’t sink any lower than the rock bottom they’ve already hit, they somehow manage to burrow themselves further into the earth’s mantle. As is so often the case, this most recent gutter-dwelling example has to do with Sarah Palin, who dared to go on a humanitarian trip to Haiti. …

So, they fall back on sneering contempt, mixed with insanity and outright lies. … This again happened on Monday, when the AP ran this picture and caption:
[Pic]

Bristol Palin was fixing a loose clip or an errant strand of hair for her mother. The photographer quite clearly knew that, having taken the picture and having actually looked through the lens at the people whose photo he was taking. He managed to identify Todd Palin, yet purposely did not identify Bristol.

… The Daily Mail picked up on the “let’s totally lie to fit our delusional narrative” line with an article titled Ready for Her Close Up…Sarah Palin Lands in Haiti (where they don’t care what her hair looks like).

Michael Shaw at The Huffington Post went one further with one of the most dreck-filled “articles” I’ve read in a good while.

The MSM just don’t “get” that people can and will check up on their little tricks. Or that ProgSites like HuffPo or the Koslings will magnify and amplify their little tricks.

More Palin-bashing from this trip:

Ed Schultz Accuses Palin of ‘Pathetic Political Grandstanding’ in Haiti Trip – But Has He Ever Gone?

NewsBusters

On MSNBC Friday night, Ed Schultz proclaimed on his show that Sarah Palin’s a phony for touring Haiti now, that the “earthquake happened 11 months ago” and now she’s just doing it to plug her new book and reality show. (Ed seems to have missed the recent cholera outbreak. Who needs the Couric question about what newspapers he reads?) Since liberals usually equate traveling to desperate spots of global poverty with compassion, let’s ask this question: When has Ed Schultz been to Haiti? A review of transcripts on Nexis and Google searches provide no shred of evidence that Schultz has cared enough to visit.

But there he was in his New York studio … trashing Palin as insincere at the top of his show: “The next stop on Sarah Palin’s grandstanding tour is Haiti. Is she really, really—does she really want to help these folks? She should start with the unemployed Americans. She’s exploiting desperate people for political gain, and it makes me sick.”

Schultz just can’t conceive of some one different from him politically being a decent human being! Or does he feel threatened by former Gov. Palin’s decency?

Some people can’t conceive of anyone who doesn’t have “ulterior motives” in everything they do. Because they themselves do nothing without ulterior self-serving motives.
