Trump reportedly flip-flops on Paris climate deal decision

If this is true it would be devastating to his term and the chances of re-election would be considerably lower in my estimation.

Maybe he has no intention of running in 2020. This just seems like an extreme change of policy. If there is any truth to the story, which apparently the WH is denying.

“There has been no change in the United States’ position on the Paris agreement,” said Deputy Press Secretary Lindsay Walters. “As the president has made abundantly clear, the United States is withdrawing unless we can re-enter on terms that are more favorable to our country.”

The WH is denying it, and strange this news would come out on Saturday. What will the week ahead look like after this…

This is old news. On the day he announced U.S. withdrawal the President said he would consider better terms. I find the tweet supporting Luther Strange in the Alabama Republican Senatorial primary running against Judge Roy Moore to be very surprising. Moore was all set to win and win big. Moore is endorsed by Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan, Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity and Steve Bannon. Luther Strange has the backing of Mitch McConnell’s superpac.

Why would Trump get involved at all? Why endorse Luther Strange? If Strange loses it will be seen as a repudiation of the President, the left will be dancing in the streets. Maybe it is a subtle message to the GOP that he can make or break any of their campaigns. Very risky.
