Trump’s colorful speech vs Hillary’s actions __ apples and oranges

.

While Donald Trump has engaged in lustful bar-room talk regarding an attractive woman, Arianne Zucker, let us not forget that Hillary Clinton has not only spewed degrading speech about a number of women, but has actually attacked, smeared and threatened them for talking about Bill Clinton’s sexual assaults upon them, e.g., see Hillary Clinton Is Not a Feminist

***”Hillary Clinton claims to be pro-women, yet has actively worked to ruin lives of so many of them. She’s running on a “feminist platform” — she’s even dared to say that sexual-assault survivors have a “right to be believed” — despite the fact that what she did to the women who accused Bill went far beyond not believing them.

She attacked them.”***

In a few weeks the American people will decide who will be our next president. While there is enough smut surrounding both Clinton and Trump, let us not forget the coming election will determine the fate of our country.

Do we want to continue importing the poverty stricken populations of other countries into our country which drives down earned wages for American citizens and creates unemployment [Hillary’s plan], or do we want to secure our borders and regulate immigration into America in a manner which promotes the best interests of American citizens [Trump’s plan]?

Do we want to increase the flow of Syrian “refugees” into America by 550 percent when vetting them is problematic at this point in time [Hillary’s plan], or do we temporarily halt immigration from war torn Islamic controlled countries until we can figure out a way to more effectively vet these “refugees” [Trump’s plan]?

Do we want to continue making destructive trade deals such as the NAFTA which promote the interests of international corporate giants who have no allegiance to America or any nation and are not in America’s best interests [Hillary’s plan], or do we want to negotiate trade deals which promote an America first trade policy and are in the best interests of America’s labor force [Trump’s plan]?

Do we want to continue with Obama’s federal takeover of our nation’s health-care delivery system [Hillary Clinton’s plan], or do we want to repeal and replace Obama / Hillary care with a free market competitive system in which people will be able to exercise their unalienable right to choose their doctors and health insurance needs [Trump’s plan]?

Do we want two or three more Justices put on our Supreme Court who will engage in judicial tyranny and advance their personal views of fairness, reasonableness, or justice as the Supreme Law of the land [Hillary’s plan], or do we want judges and Justices appointed who will be faithful to their oath of office and support and defend the text and documented “legislative intent” of our Constitution [Trump’s plan]?

Indeed, while both Hillary and Donald have displayed a number of undesirable characteristics including those offensive to women, we ought to be focusing on the bigger picture which are the promised policies of each candidate should they become our next president ___ policies which will actually affect the common defense and general welfare of our country. Unfortunately, this is what our Fifth Column news media personalities are determined to avoid discussing, and this ought to sound the alarm among American citizens regardless of their political party affiliation. The future of our country hangs in the balance!

A nation of people made dependent upon government for their subsistence, is a nation doomed to being enslaved by the iron-fist which feeds them.

JWK - I agree with virtually every word of your post - but, it is irrelevant. We have an election between A-hole #1 and A-hole #2. #2 (Trump) is correct on most issues that have a positive bearing on the future of the US, while A-hole #1 is incompetent and corrupt.

I fear the majority of the registered electorate - Democrats - don’t care; they want the free ride government provides and/or are simpatico with a left supporting media that are/will pound Trump on personal, character issues while ignoring or downplaying Clinton’s disastrous history.

IMHO - we sent forth the right message with the wrong messenger.

Elections have become popularity polls over the years. Someone with wild hair, stutters or is disfigured can not be elected in this country. Well that is until now. The odds are that whoever is least unpopular that week will be elected. Kind of interesting.

#4

Are we not now witnessing how powerful and unremitting our tick and flea infested Washington Establishment really is, and how its Fifth Column media personalities give aid and comfort in an ongoing assault upon our lives, liberty and property? The sad truth is, we have been amply warned about this in “THE OLD GUARD”, A MONTHLY JOURNAL DEVOTED TO THE PRINCIPLES OF 1776 AND 1787, that:

”Submit to despotism for an hour and you concede the principle. John Adams said, in1775, “Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud.” It is the only thing a people determined to be free can do. Republics have often failed, and have been succeeded by the most revolting despotisms; and always it was the voice of timidity, cowardice, or false leaders counseling submission, that led to the final downfall of freedom. It was the cowardice and treachery of the Senate of Rome that allowed the usurper to gain power, inch by inch, to overthrow the Republic. The history of the downfall of Republics is the same in all ages. The first inch that is yielded to despotism - the first blow, dealt at the Constitution that is not resisted - is the beginning of the end of the nation’s ruin.”

I fear the only way to rid ourselves of our tick and flea infested Washington Establishment and its Fifth Column media personalities is through an armed rebellion.

Good way to put it. Well said.

People have made a big deal about how wonderful it is that the voters get to the select the presidential candidates instead of the politicians.

This time “the people” made a great big mess of it. They have selected the worst possible candidates from both parties, and the nation is the poorer for it.

The Trump locker-room comments from a decade ago are being overblown, but I think that it is probably the last nail in his political coffin. His self inflected wounds are unprecedented, and only the fact that Hillary Clinton is worst presidential candidate that any major party has ever nominated has saved him thus far. But like the cat that jumped off of Trump Towers, he has used up all of his nine political lives.

Yes, Trump is still better than Hillary. He has a big mouth and a bigger ego. She is a crook who has taken bribes who IS above the law. Any one of her scandals would have brought down a normal candidate, but her gender and her Democrat Party, which “really CARES for people,” has saved her political butt.

She is crooked and useless, but sadly she will be the next president. God help us

There’s always hope that she will not be. I’m afraid, too. It looks like she will be, but I have to believe that somehow, she will not. I pray everyday for that not to happen. I hope there are others who are praying for that not to happen, too.

See: Paul Ryan Shouted Down by Trump Supporters in Wisconsin:

”Ryan, who kicked off the speech talking about the “elephant in the room,” said that Trump’s banter with Billy Bush before taping an Access Hollywood segment in 2005 was “a troubling situation.”
The chants for “Trump” start at about the 6:40 mark in the video below.”

Instead of Paul Ryan pointing to our Fifth Column news media’s dirty tricks [dredging up this 11 year old video], Ryan along with other Establishment Republicans give them aid and comfort by turning their backs on Trump which was the pinko media’s plan from the beginning.

I have never seen so many alleged “Republicans” aligning themselves with the Democrat Party’s political machine.

JWK

To support Hillary Clinton is to support our Global Governance Crowd and their Fast Track Trade Promotion Authority, WTO, NAFTA, GATT, CAFTA, and the TPP deal ___ all used to circumvent America First trade policies, while fattening the fortunes of Hillary Clinton’s international corporate giant donors who have no allegiance to America or any nation.

We can’t blame the Republican “establishment” on what looks more and more like a massive fail by Trump. This is Trump’s failure - not Ryan’s, or Cruz, or anyone else - Trump spent the entire primary and post primary election cycle symbolically giving the finger to those whose support he needed.

Trump and Trump alone FAILED to reach out to seek needed support. In fact, he clearly and repeatedly stated he did not need their support. What are these people supposed to do, grovel and kiss Trump’s ass after being ceremoniously blown off?

The problem in all of this is the same as it’s been from the very first Republican debate - Trump IS a bombastic, narcissistic, self-promoting, self-centered, thin-skinned, gratuitously alienating, inarticulate, undisciplined ass who’s unlikeable ratings rivals that of a corrupt, incompetent, inveterate liar known as Hillary Rodham Clinton.

And a majority of Republican primary voters were stupid enough to think he could survive the hostile environment he was going to face during the general election process.

How anyone can be surprised by Trump’s repeated missteps, loose rhetoric and inability to stay focused and the price to be paid for his continued/predicable ineptitude is beyond me.

You just don’t get it, do you?

We are talking about the here and now. At this point in time the only question which voters need to answer is, which promised policies, Clinton’s or Trump’s, will promote the common defense and general welfare of the United States?

As I have written elsewhere, Do we want to continue importing the poverty stricken populations of other countries into our country which drives down earned wages for American citizens and creates unemployment [Hillary’s plan], or do we want to secure our borders and regulate immigration into America in a manner which promotes the best interests of American citizens [Trump’s plan]?

Paul Ryan has turned into a Washington Establishment democrat party boot licking patsy.

Releasing this 11 year old tape at this time is nothing more than a carefully calculated distraction to protect Hillary Clinton from having to defend her globalist agenda which includes open borders and flooding our country with the poverty stricken populations of other countries which in turn enlarges a government dependent voting block which will sell their vote to keep the “free” government cheese wagon coming their way.

The only important question at this point in time which voters need to answer is, which promised proposed policies, Clinton’s or Trump’s, will promote the common defense and general welfare of the United States?

JWK

If we can make 51 percent of America’s population dependent upon an Obama / Hillary Clinton Administration’s, welfare, food stamp, section 8 housing, college loan check, and now free Obama/Hillarycare along with FREE BACON, we can blackmail them for their vote, keep ourselves in power and keep the remaining portion of America’s productive population enslaved to pay the bills ____ the Obama / Hillary Clinton Administration’s Free Cheese Democracy, designed to establish a federal plantation which confiscates and then redistributes wealth that wage earners, business and investors have worked to create.

#12

Not a distraction, but a calculated attempt to destroy the Trump movement. Authored by the progressive media, but abetted by the Republican Elite. They want Trump out and his followers quelled.

#13

No - JHawk, you don’t get it. The here and now is affected by the fact that it is unlikely Donald Trump can get elected. Do I care on a personal level about his locker room comments? Not really. Compared to what’s at stake, for me it is virtually insignificant. But, I’m not foolish enough to think it won’t matter to many of those on the fence in this election. People Trump must have in order to get elected and facilitate him doing squat regarding trade, jobs the border, national security
, etc. Trump has been screwing up his chances for many months - damn near every time he opens his mouth.

I’m pissed that so many otherwise intelligent people put their faith in him and stuck those of us who knew better and said so, with such a flawed candidate as Trump - “Lying” Ted, “Little” Marco might have sounded smart and fun to some, but that kind of shallow crap a candidate does not make.

Let me put it very simply - we had better choices - much more conservative choices. Potential nominees who could actually express a complete thought without gratuitously alienating potential supporters and voters and present issues in a coherent manner using complete sentences.

The ONLY reason I will vote for him is precisely because I do get it. I get the here and now and I get it as much, if not more, than most on this board.

This is a make or break election and we have been fighting the battle with a sub-par candidate.

Is the election lost? Probably - I do not know, but I am not lining up caterers for a victory party at my house.

Mike I know you are younger than most republicans. Also your sense of reality seems to be intact. I see you can also preform basic math functions. I’d love to see you be a moderate convert to the Democratic party ala Charlie Crist/Bloomberg. Mike this party is for people who are 70+, when I say this party is dying I mean it’s literally dying. There are two types left in the party the Alt-Reality crowd and the Old Guard. You are neither you could be a New Democrat ya know. It’s sad to see an single ounce of brainpower being used to mourn over the dying cat fart of a party such as the GOP.

#15

Dear Mush - you are really funny. I’m a long-standing conservative. I am 73 this month; a former National Merit Scholar and an honors undergrad at Stanford in biology- in addition, I received my MD from Stanford Medical School. Finally, I hold a PhD in molecular biology from Stanford. I am a retired cardiologist/surgeon
.
Please don’t insult my intelligence or take me for a fool. You simply mark yourself as a clown.

Now, I haven’t stopped laughing at the raw idiocy of your message. I can only assume you were joking - for your sake I hope that humor was your intent. LMAO!!

#16

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. There’s another “MIKE” on here, though not a Doc that I know of. Maybe the guy was thinking you were him. I dunno.

Anyway, the more I read, the more I laughed too.

#17

This is good.
The RNC leadership really just stepped in it. It is true, with them declaring war on Trump and the people who voted for him, there is no chance of Trump winning. But this will pretty much mark a civil war. The Republican candidates running away from Trump can now expect to lose. I’d wager a good 10% of Trump’s voters would have no problem refusing to vote for them, and that’s enough to kill anyone in a close race.

Ryan may or may not survive this, but I’d say Democrats are a lock to take the Senate now. They may even be able to make a run at the House if RNC really does follow through with its threats.

> dredging up this 11 year old video
This is one part that doesn’t make much sense to me. The man is 70 years old. I doubt he’s changed much from when he was 59.

#18

I think the guy has been smoking mushrooms, BobJam. LOL

#19

Or something else . . . ?

From what I’ve seen “a new Democrat” is a full blown socialist. This is not my father’s Democratic Party which had love affairs with John F. Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey.

No thank you. I want no part of their policies. But then again I’m old, so I guess my years of observing how socialism fails repeatedly don’t count and least not in the world of mushrooms. :hippy:
